Worship Arts

Welcome to CrossRoads Worship Arts, where we bring the music and the musicians, visual arts, technical arts and creative arts. together  At CrossRoads, we gather each weekend to honor God together, to lift up His Name and spur one another on in our faith.  Each of these artistic avenues contributes to our shared weekend experience.  Our goal is to praise God for Who He is and thank Him for all He has done! We are always interested in including new artists, techs and creative thinkers who would like to exercise their talents in building up the church.  If you are one of those people, we’d love to hear from you!

Music Teams

Currently, we have three music teams that lead us on Sunday mornings, each team consisting of a rhythm section (guitars, bass, keyboard and drums) and a vocal team.  Orchestral instruments are a welcome addition from sax to violin as we play music in a pop-rock Contemporary Christian style, including songs from well-known artists like Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, Lincoln Brewster, Hillsong United, and Robin Mark.  We believe that singing God’s praises together is one of the hallmarks of corporate Christian worship, singing about God and singing to God with humble hearts inclined toward Him.

The CrossRoads Choir meets through the fall, winter and early spring after church on Sundays.  Led by Betsy Keville, the choir sings occasionally for services and as well for our Christmas and Easter productions at Chittenango High School.   We also add our musical flavor to the Chittenango Community Choir night around Thanksgiving.

AV Team

Many different kinds of effort facilitate our weekend worship services.  The AV crew, our technical arts department, do their best to remain invisible while they run our sound and projection systems.  Their labors allow everyone to hear and see well, so that we can all worship confidently with one voice and hear the spoken message clearly.

Creative Team

Every few weeks, our Creative Team meets to come up with new ideas that will enhance and reinforce the messages from the pulpit.  From symbols and props to drama, video clips to special music, the team has a great time imagining, planning and implementing.

Thanks for your interest in Worship Arts at CrossRoads.  We hope you’ll come worship with us this Sunday!
